I am a qualified trainer/facilitator within dementia care and a NAPA trained activity coordinator, plus qualified as a registered TimeSlips facilitator. To date I am the only TimeSlips facilitator within the West Midlands. Last year I ran storytelling sessions at the Alzheimer’s Society in Coventry and guided staff in learning the technique within TimeSlips to enable them to continue the sessions during the week. I am especially interested in applying the different forms of cognitive stimulation therapy as I have seen the positive results in the people taking part.
